Lily Qian is an award-winning illustrator based in Brooklyn, New York.
She has had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients in editorial, publishing, advertising, kid-lit, surface, fashion, and beauty. She's always seeking more meaningful assignments, especially in editorials and books.
Lily has a passion for combining traditional analog techniques with digital. She takes inspiration from experimenting and exploring accidents that occur when mixing different materials and textured backgrounds. Aside from storytelling, she loves playing with abstract shapes to create a moment of surprise in her illustrations.
Lily is honored to teach an illustration course at The Fashion Institute of Technology with the Illustration & Interactive Media Department. She was a judge for the Society of Illustrator's 63rd annual competition, and her work has been recognized by American Illustration and Society of Illustrators. She's been invited to be a guest speaker at Apple, SVA, Pratt Institute, Fashion Institute of Technology, and Alberta College of Art & Design.
